We were visiting family who live in the area and they took us here. I have celiac and this restaurant deals with it quite well. The food was really great - truly gourmet quality. The place is in a strip mall and unassuming on the outside, but small and intimate on the inside, with great service and a reasonable wine list. The gothic theme surprised me, but was not off-putting at all. This is really a gem that I look forward to visiting the next time I am in the area.
It took us a while to finally go try this place and now we can't stay away! Food is on another level and service and atmosphere are great! You definitely have to try the Sunday brunch as well! Everything we have tried has been excellent!!
Place was BUZZING! The vibe when you first walk in is great. Smells like palo santo and sage. Dark and moody atmosphere, great customer service. Ordered the squid, artichoke and a meatball pizza. All of the food items were absolutely delicious. We drove all the way from Burbank to try this place. HIGHLY recommended.
My sister and I were fortunate enough to find this restaurant a few years ago and it's been our go-to place for celebrations and family get-togethers ever since. Amazing quality food, super friendly employees, unforgettable potions, and of course the must-experience atmosphere makes Raven's Nest a new favorite to everyone we have introduced to it. We are so grateful we can get this kind of experience in the AV and we can't recommend this restaurant enough!
First time here, we wanted to sit outside since we had our little dogs with us and they were very accommodating and friendly! Prices might be a little bit higher than expected BUT in all honesty, it’s completely worth it and you’re definitely paying for quality food and drinks. Also, the service was great and fast! I’ll definitely be going back!
Walking into The Raven’s Nest feels like stepping into a beautifully curated Poe fever dream—dim, dramatic, and scented with palo santo. The drinks are outstanding: thoughtful, bold, and crafted like they belong in a gothic novel themselves. If you like your cocktails dark, clever, and a little seductive, this is your place. Let’s talk about the food. You come for the moody vibes, stay because Chef Amalia’s Italian menu absolutely refuses to miss. This was Date Night, and our first visit to The Raven's Nest. It absolutely will not be our last. Everything..... everything was fantastic. The service (Harmony was so gracious and patient with us); the cocktails (Kat is an artist and true mixologist); the food.....it was like a party on our palate with each bite. The grilled octopus; beet salad (I could make a meal of this alone - it was that good); my husband had the Steak Frite and hot honey carrots and said it was the best; but I'd argue that nothing could top the lamb chops. Do you get the idea that I loved it? hehehehehe 😋😊
Every part of our experience was superb. The service was amazing, all staff were friendly, fast and efficient. The food was served hot and with many levels of flavor. The mixed drinks or potions were made with care and had many flavor profiles as well. We had apps, entrees, desert, potions and beer. All worth going back for, and the service topped it off. Great night.
Took me a few years but finally made it over here. Hummus 🔥, kale salad & 🍕 were good, the crust on the pizza 🤤. Some of the tastiest food I've had up here. House IPA was really tasty 🍻. I personally would like a little more liquor & balance in the cocktail I had. Service was great!! I look forward to Sunday brunch soon 😋
Having wanted to visit Ravens Nest for a long time, but not finding the opportunity, the hype had really built up before visiting. Needless to say the wait was worth every second! The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant is exquisite. Blending gothic vibes with modern culinary delights and libations to intoxicate with extravagance & elegance. The food is a fantastic assault on the senses, every dish is painstakingly arranged on your plate to stunning effect, the aromas are exquisite and the tasting is a heavenly experience. Everything we sampled on this visit was nothing short of perfection. If you are reading this review, you MUST try the scallops! The cocktail menu isn’t the most extensive and you won’t get an Espresso Martini here (perhaps on some days, but not during my visit), but the menu is eclectic and every one we tried was a perfect blend of flavors and enough alcohol to know it was a bad idea to drive afterwards, but not diminish the delight of the libation! Atop all the delights served and the fantastic gothic atmospherics, all the staff are an absolute joy to be served by. They may appear to be blood sucking vampires, all dressed in black and appearing to be Tim Burton’s latest movie extras or amorous cast off, however, nothing but the finest hosting was delivered. Friendly, very well dressed, professional and courteous. All requests were greeted with smiles (thankfully with no fangs in sight), food and drink service was prompt and no hesitation to help. Being from England, my ONLY critique would be that silverware was not laid at the table and was handed to us in napkins (although even the napkins were quality fabric!), meaning each course required a request for more. However, this takes nothing away from the experience, absolutely superb dining experience, would highly recommend and I shall be visiting again very soon!
